” May you come to find comfort in and remember cardinals appear when angels are near. So go now, sit outside and drink your tea. Keep a look out for the little red bird — It is there, your loved one will be.”
Every morning I am fortunate enough to be visited by the same cardinal for the past 2 years and have often wondered if he (or she) knew what joy it brought to my heart whenever it arrived. The visit is often brief but anchors my day in a silent understanding that no matter what craziness the rest of the day may bring that the peace in that moment is what will carry me through.

Hi MichelleI wish you all would put what the ground of your work is ? Did you do this on Watercolor paper? I really like the simplicity of this!
Hi Sheryl, so sorry about the delay getting back to you. The Christmas rush has been crippling me in time management. Thank you for your suggestion. It was awesome. I’m going to bring it up in the studio and share it with the others to consider it when they post too. On this particular piece I did do it on a cold-pressed watercolor paper. On location I always take a range of paper for texture and graphic options as the need calls. Thanks again, Michele
