Rise Again

“Receive every day as a resurrection from death, as a new enjoyment of life; meet every rising sun with such sentiments of God’s goodness, as if you had seen it, and all things, new – created upon your account: and under the sense of so great a blessing” -William Law

The art was inspired by the bamboo tree, a symbol of longevity, constancy, yielding but enduring strength. It is also said that the bamboo tree is like the humble man who bows before the storm and rises again. Amidst all that has happened I have nothing but love and admiration for the people of Japan. They have a way of getting up after the storm and looking to the left and to the right and help one another without consideration for themselves. My prayers are with you all.

Rise Again

In response to the recent terrible earthquake in Japan and the tsunamis in the Pacific, the illustrators of Studio 1482 have each created a piece of art to raise money on behalf of the victims. Please click here for more information.
