Personally I really liked that the July 4th US holiday fell on a Wednesday this year. Gave us all the chance to have a weekend in the middle of the week! Spent a lovely few hours picnicking along the East River in LIC with Neil and our friends Margaret and Julia. The Macy’s fireworks at nightfall were like the icing on the cake. Ka-boom! I always love seeing the fireworks with that iconic NYC skyline as a backdrop. Happy start of summer everyone!
