Building Sagrada Familia

So many wonderful memories of my recent trip to Europe, culminating in a week in Barcelona to present a workshop at the annual Urban Sketchers Symposium. The drawing above is of Sagrada Familia, Gaudi’s dream, which the Catalan people will not let die. The amount of construction work going on there is astounding, and it’s a wonderful experience to witness something that seems so Medieval – the construction of a cathedral by a town – happening in the 21st century. Just one of the amazing things about Barcelona.
