While searching the studio for a drawing the other day, I came across this OLDIE: a woodcut print of the South Street Seaport in lower Manhattan. Think I made this around 1994 – still remember how much fun I had carving all of these lines and marks into the wood. Now when I suggest to a student, “why not try a woodcut?” I can share online proof that I’ve practiced what I preach!
