It took a little while longer for the flotilla to arrive than had been announced. This wasn’t afterall, an airline flight or a train schedule we were waiting for. There were no stars making their way, no dignitaries—nothing that tends to bring people out in crowds like this on a hot late spring day. Making it’s way up the Hudson River, passing so many towns and villages along the way, was the Quadricentenial celebration of Henry Hudson’s voyage up the river that bears his name. A parade of ships that pay homage to the history of our great waterways.
This has a lovely feeling to it. Who minds waiting in a setting like this? Really nice, Dom.
