As Margaret mentioned in last week’s post, she, Despina and I spent an afternoon together recently, doing some drawings in Times Square. The place was loaded with tourists, all craning their necks and popping their heads around to see all the hoopla that is the crossroads of the busiest city in America. Political protests, naked cowboys, and of course, more advertising per square inch than you can imagine. The funny thing is, there really isn’t that much for tourists to do in Times Square, except taking pictures of each other to show their friends that they were there. Which maybe is the point. At any rate, the tourists seemed to be enjoying the atmosphere and so were we. I had fun mixing the mediums in this one.
