While sitting in Penn Station waiting for the train to arrive last week I stole a moment to draw a common sight, “man on cell phone”. While observing him it came to mind how addicted we’ve all become to these small little boxes that seemed to all but reinvent how we think, talk and react to the world around us. The volume of information we are expected to process minute by minute has sped up the pace so fast it’s difficult to envision what our children’s world will look like in just a century to come. While we’re told these advances in technology are supposed to make our world simpler, I wonder? ….. Oh how I long for those old fashioned small boxes we once treasured so much. I think they called them “books”. – Michele
