The new congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been busy making headlines since her inauguration this January. If you look closely in this drawing I made in Jackson Heights last spring, at a rally against family separations at the southern border, you’ll see her holding the banner. She was out there marching with the organizations, Queens Neighborhoods United and Make the Road NY, two groups that fight for immigrant rights.
