I sat in on one of Veronica Lawlor’s classes at Pratt Art Institute and made a couple of drawings of this great model. I used a Japanese black ink brush, which was a Pentel pocket brush pen, and my old fav stand by, Pilot Varsity fountain pen. I love the results of the combination of these two pens: one so fluid and free and the other so linear and precise! Ah, yes, the joy of making a pen and ink drawing of a model in art class. There is nothing more relaxing or more rewarding than just making a drawing to make a drawing. That is truly what it is all about, isn’t it? How gratifying.
