Just returned from a quick trip to Florida, spending time with my parents, the snowbirds. (For those of you who don’t know, a snowbird is a Northeasterner who spends their winters down in the sunny and warm Southeastern United States.) We always try to make a trip to the shore to see the pelicans – my Mom and I sat and painted them as they wait and watch, hoping one of the fisherman will toss them a little snack.
