I love bridges. So when I was in Porto this summer, I had no choice but to stop and make a pen and ink drawing of the beautiful Maria Pia bridge, that spans the Douro River, connecting Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia.
The bridge was designed by Gustav Eiffel. Yes, THAT Eiffel.
What a city. What a bridge!
