Laundry Day in Porto

I was checking my email this morning when my IPhone served up this photo of a drawing I made while visiting Porto, Portugal in 2018. LAUNDRY DAY!

I remember making this drawing so well – it was my last morning in Porto and I was sitting at a cafe having a coffee when these ladies started hanging out their clothing and- I think – gossiping and laughing together. Something I love about reportage drawing and travel is you really find the commonalities we all share, despite differences in language and culture. Those commonalities are the things we really need to focus on in this world.
