This is a drawing of a grocery store in Havana that I did on a visit to that city a few years ago. The local police seemed not thrilled with me making the drawing, and were asking a few questions. The people then pulled me inside the store, lowering the outside gate to give me a chance to make one more drawing (below.) They wanted me to document how empty of available food and other necessities the store was. Quite a sobering experience.
