Last Sunday, Easter Sunday to many, I spent with my son and nephews at Citi Field. We had front row box seats behind home plate, toward third base. The tickets were a gift and they were pretty incredible. Food included, very friendly staff, I have nothing but nice things to say about the place. It was my first time there since, while doing a job, I was given a tour of the unfinished stadium.
We were so close you could hear the players talking to each other, and the fans as well! I made a few quick drawings. I find baseball players to be especially difficult to capture, they constantly twitch and move…and the bat moves independently of them. It’s quite the challenge. They always seem incredibly restless. Regardless, it was a great day with even greater seats.
