The Elysian Café in Hoboken, NJ is a great place to draw, and the food and drinks make it even better. It is the oldest continually operated bar/restaurant in Hoboken, starting in 1895! So as you can imagine, the interior has a certain charm. I took out a fountain pen and brush marker and I designed the drawing to show both the people at the bar and the details on the walls and ceiling. The couple at the bar were a rather strange mix. He seemed like he lived at the bar and she seemed as if she’s never been inside one. She must have been there for the décor.
