I found my subject for the bamboo pen drawing sitting at an outdoor café. The strong sunlight lit his face accentuating the lines and his deep-set eyes. Using water, I diluted my ink so I could create depth with grey tones as well as full blacks. He was a fun subject, full of interesting marks and shapes caused by the light.
