Spring Fall

As the petals of the Spring blooms disappeared for yet another season, my mind turned from start to finish and I was reminded of how all the color is packed in such a short times. I will take the monochromatic days ahead and bathe in the sun, knowing the bookends will complete the story.—Dominick

For the Dogs

Truth be told I am posting this and last weeks drawings late. Why? Because I started the drawings and wasn’t happy with them until this afternoon. Tomorrow based on the time stamp above. Until 2 minutes ago I had not seen that Ronnie posted another beautiful cherry blossom yesterday. Spring seems to be on everyones […]

Still Waiting

With each sign of Spring there seems to be a not so subtle reminder that the seasons, at least in New York, clash a little before one takes the baton from the other. As I watch the daffodils pop up in front of houses up and down the avenue—mildly obsessed with  their strength and form—I […]

Twelves Years Ago

Twelves years ago tomorrow I was standing in the bitter cold just off center of the Washington Monument witnessing my first presidential inauguration. I vowed that day that I would return every four years. Somehow I looked it as a new piece of my American identity. And try as I did this year, first finding […]

Speechless

I hadn’t looked at Ronnie’s entry from yesterday until just after I decided what I would post today. Before that I was hesitant. My intention was to draw something uplifting because, hell, after this past year I am tired of bad news. I know I am not alone. But the fact is now is not […]
