Here is the lineup of the characters I illustrated for the Bronx Zoo section of the interactive Children’s Game Wall installed at the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, in NYU Langone’s new Kimmel Pavilion building in New York City. The project was put together by the awesome team of designers and developers at Potion Design, and it was my pleasure to work with them.
The characters were painted in gouache, front and back views, and then I drew the other views as well for the talented 3D animator Joseph Grundfast, who made them dance! (literally)
I loved making these characters, and am especially fond of the tortoise, who I wanted to be the smallest one of the group, with a little spunk. 🙂 You can see them dancing in this screen-record video HERE.
Thanks to Steph Goralnick, creative lead on the project, as well as all of the talented team at Potion. Posted by Veronica Lawlor.
