As my daughter fell asleep in my lap and the finale just about to begin, we stared into the sky and were bombarded with what seemed to take forever. The symphony of explosions took shape and brought about a close to this years 4th of July festivities, even if it was the 3rd. Everyone had their ratings—biggest, highest, loudest, most colorful, sparkliest (is that a word), and whirlies (pretty sure that is not a word)—to which the crowd ranked their favorites.
