This gentleman’s name is Armando. He lives in Cuba. Ronnie, Julia and I were drawing on the waterfront in downtown Habana when this gentleman showed up. He threw flowers in the water. We asked him why he did this. He said it was for his baby daughter, that she would be well. He asked us where we were from. We said the United States. He said, “You know, everybody acts like they like Castro, but they don’t. This is what they think of him. He turned his head and spit into the water. He turned back around and looked at us and said, “I want to be free. We want to be free.”
