On the heels of Despina’s post from yesterday, this is a drawing of Lapin on the High Line in New York city. Veronica Lawlor invited Urban Sketchers to join her and Lapin and his lovely wife and daughter to come draw. Ironically, when I looked out to draw all I could see was Lapin sitting next to the flowers. He seemed to be a part of them; even the colors in his shirt matched, so I extended some golden yellow over to him from the flowers. I believe Jason Das is sitting next to him on the right. As Despina said, both Lapin and Jason are from the Urban Sketchers group: Lapin in Barcelona and Jason in New York. Next week i’ll post a drawing that will include another Urban Sketcher! Guess who?
