thumbnail lottery

Friday, June 29th, 2012

I picked a random page from my notebook of recent days. For fun. And this is the lucky thumbnail drawing. It’s not a snowman is all I will say. ~Despina

Couple

Thursday, June 28th, 2012

I drew these two in lower Manhattan 2 years ago. They seemed to be studying for an exam or something, but I couldn’t help thinking that the poor guy was so in love with her and she had no idea.

The weather has been so warm these past few days that it has made me think of summer days in St. Thomas, hot!

curly fingers

I think our son is slightly “double-jointed”, and when he plays on the keyboard I love to watch his curly fingers fluttering away, tickling those ivories and my fancy too! ~Despina

Thought I’d post one more drawing of the space shuttle Enterprise, shown here at sunset on the deck of the Intrepid. You can see the entire reportage on my blog, HERE.

Henri’s Reserve

Saturday, June 16th, 2012

I was walking around my neighborhood tonight and walked past all the restaurants with people enjoying meals and drinks. It made me think of enjoying a nice glass of champagne. This is one of the drawings I made for Henri’s Reserve.

View from Lou’s

Thursday, June 14th, 2012

I spent a week in Chicago last month and had no time to make drawings…except for this one, while I was eating deep dish pizza at Lou Malnati’s. I loved Chicago and would go back in a heartbeat!

Michele’s garden

Wednesday, June 13th, 2012

Last week I posted a small drawing inspired by Chagall I drew in my garden . Thought it’d be fun to share another one. If you look closely you’ll see I used watercolors, colored pencil, and a digital pencil. I invite you to try it, it’s one of those things you can just feel your way thru. I’d love to see it. Have a creative day! - Michele

The Enterprise

Sunday, June 10th, 2012

Last Wednesday I did a reportage of the Enterprise Space Shuttle being transported to its new home on the flight deck of the Intrepid, on the Hudson River in New York. It was so exciting to be there for such a historic moment! I’ll be posting the whole series on my blog later this week for anyone who is interested to see them. Posted by Veronica
