Happy New Year!

Saturday, December 31st, 2011

I tried out some new settings on the Brushes app to make this drawing of a ginkgo leaf and another leaf, which I’m not sure of the name. So, here’s to new beginnings.

A quick 1,2,3 study

Wednesday, December 28th, 2011

With all the heightened energy this week and busy-ness the season brings, it’s feels good to take a minute, just hang back and people watch, (with line that is). You might be surprised what you find.

Home

Saturday, December 17th, 2011

Those who know me and my work will recognize the theme of the garden as a metaphor for paradise (home). I remember eating strawberries, gooseberries, currants, plums, peaches, apples and hazelnuts directly from the bush as a kid playing at our garden at #28. This page is part of an ongoing project on the history of feminism (notice the woman busy working the earth). It also makes me want to start a victory garden and eat freshly-harvested collard greens.
